Flooded with Thankfulness

Thankful for Forgiveness

The greatest expression of God’s love toward us is His forgiveness. Don’t let anyone talk you out if that. The power of what Jesus did on the Cross is central to everything we believe.

Some have fallen for the lie that God is angry or disappointed in you, but let me tell you that you have not let God down. The truth is that we were never holding Him up. Rather, He has always carried us.

We have received a complete forgiveness that cannot be undone. It is not a partial forgiveness. Jesus did not do half of what He came to Earth to accomplish. He finished the entire job that day on Calvary and so the forgiveness is complete, final & lasts forever! When Jesus shouted “It is finished!” from the cross… it was finished!

When we believe that we are truly forgiven of all sin, we experience the reality of this amazing love.

The enemy is always trying to bring fear and condemnation but as we know, the enemy is a liar. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross ensured that we will never be rejected by our Heavenly Father. We are accepted and loved by God.

“For He made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

When we realize what it cost to give us this everlasting forgiveness, our hearts overflow with thanksgiving and gratitude for Jesus Christ’s gift of complete forgiveness. An eternal work has been done in us and we are now children of a Heavenly Father who will never leave us. We are His!

Enjoy the security and confidence that the forgiveness of God brings you. Rest easy and allow thankfulness to hold your soul. You are forgiven and loved.

Bless you,

Pastor Shannon
